Disney World packing list

Published 2026-10-19 · Updated 2026-10-19 · go ka

Pick who’s coming and how long you’re staying, and you get a Walt Disney World packing list to tick off, print or copy. Ticks are saved on this device. Under it: what the parks don’t let you bring, from Disney’s own rules.

What you can’t bring into the parks

ItemDisney’s rule
StrollersNo wider than 31 in (79 cm) and no longer than 52 in (132 cm). Wagons and stroller wagons are not allowed.
Bags and coolersNothing larger than 24 in long × 15 in wide × 18 in high (61 × 38 × 46 cm), with or without wheels. No loose or dry ice; reusable ice packs are recommended.
GlassNo glass containers, except small ones such as baby-food jars.
AlcoholNot allowed, except at the Disney Resort hotels.
Selfie sticks and tripodsNo selfie sticks or extension poles in the theme parks or water parks. Tripods only if they fit inside a standard backpack and don’t extend over 6 ft.
Folding chairsNot allowed in the theme parks, the water parks or Disney Springs.
Recreational devicesNo drones, remote-control toys, skateboards, scooters, inline skates or shoes with built-in wheels. Mobility devices are a separate rule: they need at least three wheels.
Costumes and masksNot for guests 14 and older (masks only for medical reasons). Clothing that drags on the ground isn’t allowed either.
Balloons and plastic strawsNot allowed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom or the water parks.

All from the Walt Disney World Property Rules, which also list weapons, fireworks and other obvious ones. Disney can refuse any bag or item at security.

Food and drinks

You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks into the parks, as long as they aren’t in glass, don’t need heating, reheating or refrigeration and don’t have a strong smell. Tell the security cast member about them when you go in (Disney’s food and drink FAQ).

Three packing habits that pay off

Plan the days too

Put the parks and dining times in the Disney World itinerary template, and count down to the trip on your Lock Screen with the Disney trip countdown widget. For other trips there is the general packing list generator.

On your iPhone

BeforeGo, our trip planner app, writes the packing list from your destination and dates, with reminders 7 days, 3 days, 24 hours and 3 hours before you leave, and turns a screenshot of a guide or a pasted link into a day-by-day plan. Free to start, no account.

No wider than 31 inches (79 cm) and no longer than 52 inches (132 cm). Wagons and stroller wagons are not allowed in the theme parks or water parks.

Not in the theme parks or water parks: guests 14 and older can’t wear costumes, and masks only for medical reasons. Special events such as the Halloween parties have their own costume rules.

Is there an app that makes a packing list for a Disney trip?

BeforeGo, our iPhone app, writes a packing list from your destination and dates, with reminders 7 days, 3 days, 24 hours and 3 hours before you leave, and turns a screenshot of a guide into a day-by-day plan. It is a general trip planner, not a Disney app.
